The short version
We collect the least we can get away with. We don't sell it, we don't hand it to advertisers, and we don't train models on the things you make. Ask us to delete any of it and we will.
Who's holding it
bober — a sole proprietorship (şahıs şirketi) established in Turkey, registered at Düden Vergi Dairesi Müdürlüğü under tax number 2930678126. We're the data controller for everything on this page. Reach us at hello@bober.tech.
Payments are different. When we do sell something it'll go through Polar as merchant of record, and Polar is the controller for whatever you type into their checkout, under their own policy. Your card details never reach us.
What we collect, and why
Right now this site is a few pages of writing. It doesn't ask you for anything, and there's no account to make yet.
If you email us, we keep what you wrote and the address you wrote from, so we can answer you.
Once our apps open, that grows to: your email address and anything you add to your profile, so you have an account. Whatever you create inside the app, because that's the app. A record that a purchase happened and whether it went through, passed to us by Polar. And ordinary technical data — IP address, browser, device, server logs — which is how anything on the internet stays up and stays secure.
That's the lot. We don't sell it, we don't share it for advertising, we don't train models on it, and we don't send marketing email.
Who else touches it
A handful of companies we pay to run things: hosting and database providers, an email provider, error monitoring, and Polar for payments. They only do what we tell them to. Some of them sit outside Turkey, so your data can travel — we pick providers that handle that properly.
Cookies
Only the ones needed to make things work — and once there are accounts, one to keep you signed in. Nothing for advertising, and nothing following you around other sites.
How long we keep it
As long as your account is open. Close it and we delete or anonymise what was in it. The exception is invoices and accounting records, which Turkish tax and commercial law makes us hold on to for years after the fact — we keep those for as long as the law says and not a day longer.
What you can ask for
A copy of your data. A correction. A deletion. Or just to tell us to stop using it a particular way. Email hello@bober.tech and we'll sort it — usually in a few days, and never longer than a month.
Those rights come from Turkish data protection law (KVKK), and from the GDPR if you're in Europe. We apply the same standard to everyone wherever they live, because keeping two sets of rules would be daft. If you think we've handled your data badly, you can complain to your local data protection authority — in Turkey that's the KVKK.
Children
Our apps aren't meant for children and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us something, write to us and it's gone.
If this page changes
We'll change the date at the top, and email account holders about anything that actually matters.
